Who?
Suitable for people with a basic level of fitness, mixed ability runners and perfect for beginners. You need to be at least 11 years old.
When?
The race starts at 11.00 A.M, Sunday 12th May 2024 - but you need to be at the start line at least 5 minutes before for the race briefing. The 5km and 10km races start together.
Feet?
The route includes running along (beautiful) tracks and paths so we recommend trail shoes, particularly if it has been wet weather before the race. Road running shoes with good grip will be OK.
Route?
The route is mostly flat and very scenic taking in meadows, forest tracks and the amazing bluebell grove along the River Esk. Prepare for a heartbreak hill near the finish - 5K runners will only have the pleasure of this short hill once just before they head back across Montague Bridge about 100metres from the finish.
Entry Fee?
£16 (£2 Discount if affiliated with Scottish Athletics)
FREE if collecting sponsorship. For your free place email [email protected]
